Collective Making
In my practice, I alternate working individually within the silence of my studio with socially engaged art projects questioning the cultural impact of spatial transitions on local communities. As an artist-educator, I am driven by a curiosity about what happens when I invite others inside the creation process, and about what this means to them. As these projects have an unpredictable outcome, me and participants are equally engaged: the process is exciting for everyone involved.
Remembered Rooms is an example of my site-specific community interventions.
