Haar fotowerk is een autonoom project dat ontstaat uit Heidi Linck’s groeiend archief van eigen observaties van gebouwen en locaties die aan het verdwijnen zijn. Deze plekken bevinden zich in een bijzondere staat tussen verleden en toekomst, aanwezigheid en afwezigheid, feit en fictie. In plaats van de realiteit na te bootsen, verkennen de handgemaakte maquettes als fotowerken het scenografische potentieel van deze plekken. Voortlevend als fotowerk stelt het werk vragen aan hoe we herinneren en aan het vergeten als beeldhouw instrument.
The photoworks result from an continous and autonomous project emerging from Heidi Linck’s expanding archive of her observations of buildings and sites which are disappearing. These places occupy a particular state between past and future, presence and absence and fact and fiction. Rather than imitating reality, the hand-made architectural models as photoworks explore the scenographic potential of these places. Living on as photographic image, the project raises questions about how we remember places and on forgetting as a sculptural intervention.
