Refuge for a memory

This piece takes you to a tranquil place that, by its shape, opens up for you. The interior knows various textures, such as white ceramic and grey concrete tiles, a stained wall and a surface that suggests natural stone. A soft moonlight casts a warm shadow onto the interior of the space.

Pounding shadow

This place suggests a checkerboard-tiled floor rising up, allowing long shadows to be casted by the minimal light. The door is missing and the removal of an unknown object left a dark hole in the floor, which may be an opening to another space.

His house has decided

This delicate scale model has two openings. One is a staircase that obviously leads to nowhere, yet still invites to climb. On the back there is an entrance to the space underneath the stairs. Somebody left a blue sign on one of the walls.

A space can be narrated again

This fictional bunker suggests three floors where unknown activities may happen. It may have windows where you can observe the surroundings or where you may be observed by others. As an object floating on the wall, the structure can be viewed from different perspectives.

Subspace 3

This drawing is part of a series in which new spaces arise by removing architectural elements such as ceilings and walls. The resulting space suggests a shelter or a place for contemplation.
