Weaving together memory and landscape

Panorama Fibula is a site-specific artwork that reimagines the landscape as a space of collective memory. Inspired by archaeological finds and the layered histories of place, the sculptural form of this watchtower echoes a fibula—an ancient brooch used to bind fabric. Here, it becomes a metaphor for connecting fragmented histories, stitching together past and present.
This large-scale work invites reflection on what has been buried, erased, or forgotten. Set in a carefully chosen location, Panorama Fibula functions as both a vantage point and a vessel: it frames the surrounding terrain while holding the invisible narratives of the site.
Developed in close collaboration with local communities, historians, and planners, a meaningful connection to the site and its future use is established. The project sparks conversation, honors local identity, and contributes to culturally rooted placemaking.
“Panorama Fibula demonstrates how contemporary art can deepen a site’s cultural value. Linck’s approach blends artistic sensitivity with historical awareness, creating public art that is not only visually striking but also intellectually and emotionally resonant”.
“Panorama Fibula offers a powerful example of how art in public space can restore connection—between people, place, and time”.
