Hi, I am Heidi Linck

I am a visual artist working at the intersection of sculpture and philosophy, researching the hidden narratives of our built environment. My artistic practice is driven by a desire to find meaning in the transience and constant transformation of our urban landscape.

Photoworks

I photograph maquettes of interiors and buildings that no longer exist. These miniature spaces are rebuilt from memory, making them distorted, incomplete, and deeply personal. I do not seek to recreate what once stood, but to give shape to how a place continues to live inside the body and mind.

The traces people leave behind, like holes in floors, marks on walls, fragments of use, become my raw material. Removed from their original context, they lose their function and begin to speak in other ways. In the maquette, they form a new architecture; in the photograph, they become a stage where memory and imagination meet.

Site-specific projects

By engaging in a personal relationship with a site that finds itself in a transition, I create new interpretations of disused or disappeared spaces, offering audiences new ways to experience silence, wonder, and transformation. This process happens as artistic research in which a public may participate.

My site specific interventions are known for working with what is already present in situ. Spatial and pedagogical interventions activate both the site as the public to explore new meaning of buildings and structures that have lost their original function.
